Before You Submit a Listing

Anyone submitting a listing must provide truthful, relevant, and lawful information and must have the authority to submit that information. Submitting a listing does not automatically guarantee approval, publication, prominent placement, or a particular search ranking. Please read this policy carefully before submitting.

01 Who Can List a Business?

CEVEW may accept listings for legitimate businesses and commercial organizations operating in different countries and industries, subject to the website's requirements. Eligible business types may include:

  • Manufacturers and factories
  • Suppliers, wholesalers, and distributors
  • Retailers and local shops
  • Tailors and apparel businesses
  • Professional and local service providers
  • Online stores and e-commerce businesses
  • Business-to-business service providers
  • Other legitimate commercial enterprises

A business owner, authorized representative, or another person with appropriate permission may submit a listing. Eligibility may depend on the business's nature, the accuracy of its information, applicable laws, and compliance with CEVEW policies. Not every industry, business model, or location is automatically eligible.

02 Businesses and Listings That Are Not Accepted

CEVEW may reject or remove listings involving:

  • Fake, fictitious, or impersonated businesses
  • Fraudulent schemes, deceptive offers, or misleading commercial claims
  • Stolen identities, unauthorized brand impersonation, or misleading affiliations
  • Illegal products, services, or commercial activities
  • Spam, irrelevant promotional content, or keyword-stuffed business names
  • Listings created to manipulate search results or mislead visitors
  • Malicious links, malware, phishing, or harmful content
  • Businesses that cannot provide sufficient information to establish the listing's relevance or authenticity
  • Content that violates applicable laws, third-party rights, or CEVEW policies

CEVEW may assess questionable submissions individually and is not required to publish every submission.

03 Required Business Information

A listing should provide accurate information sufficient to identify the business and help visitors understand what it offers. Depending on the listing form and business type, the following information may be required or requested:

  • Business or trading name
  • Main business category
  • Relevant industry or business type
  • Description of the business
  • Products or services offered
  • Country and city of operation
  • Business address or service area, where applicable
  • Public business contact details, such as a business email address or telephone number, where requested
  • Official website or online store URL, if available
  • Business logo or relevant images, if requested
  • Name and contact details of the person submitting the listing, where required for account administration or follow-up

Not every field necessarily applies to every business. Fields are mandatory only where the actual submission form marks them as required.

Do not submit sensitive personal data. Passwords, payment card details, private identity documents, or unrelated sensitive personal information should not be entered into public listing fields.

04 Accuracy and Truthful Representation

Submitters must ensure that all information is current, accurate, relevant, and not misleading. Business names, descriptions, addresses, contact details, product claims, qualifications, certifications, and affiliations must not be fabricated or misrepresented.

Businesses must not claim to be officially certified, licensed, approved, affiliated, or endorsed unless the claim is accurate and can be supported when reasonably requested.

If a business moves, changes its name, stops offering a service, or changes its contact details, the listing owner should request an update. CEVEW may correct formatting or request clarification where information appears incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading.

05 Duplicate Business Listings

Each distinct business should generally have one primary listing for the same business identity and location. Duplicate submissions for the same business may be merged, rejected, unpublished, or removed at CEVEW's discretion. These cases include:

  • Repeated submissions of the same business using slightly different names
  • Duplicate listings created to gain additional visibility
  • Multiple listings using the same address and contact details without a legitimate distinction
  • Separate locations of the same business
  • Businesses operating under different brands or legal identities

Genuine branches, franchises, locations, or independently operated businesses may qualify for separate listings when they represent distinct, legitimate operations and the directory supports that structure. Sharing an address, phone number, or owner does not automatically make two businesses duplicates.

06 Business Names and Listing Titles

Submitters must use the real business name or a legitimate trading name. Adding excessive keywords, location strings, promotional phrases, phone numbers, slogans, or unrelated service terms to a business name solely to influence search visibility is not permitted.

CEVEW may edit or reject titles that appear deceptive, spammy, or inconsistent with the business's identity.

07 Categories, Industries, and Service Areas

Submitters should choose the most relevant available business category and industry. They should select only categories that accurately describe their activities and should not add unrelated categories to attract irrelevant traffic.

Businesses serving multiple locations may identify genuine service areas where the submission form supports them. They must not falsely claim physical offices or branches in locations where they do not operate.

08 Business Descriptions, Images, and Links

Descriptions must be original, relevant, readable, and accurate. Keyword stuffing, copied content used without permission, misleading claims, unrelated advertisements, and repetitive promotional text are not permitted.

Submitters must have the necessary rights or permissions to use submitted logos, photographs, text, trademarks, and other materials. Website links must lead to relevant, reasonably safe destinations and must not be used for phishing, malware distribution, deceptive redirects, or unrelated spam.

CEVEW may remove or decline content that violates these requirements.

09 Listing Submission and Review

The general submission process works as follows:

  1. The submitter provides the requested business information.
  2. The submitter checks that the information is accurate and that they have permission to submit it.
  3. CEVEW may review the submission for completeness, relevance, duplication, policy compliance, and apparent authenticity.
  4. CEVEW may publish the listing, request clarification, make permitted formatting corrections, hold it for further review, or reject it.
  5. The submitter may need to provide additional information before a decision can be made.

Review procedures may vary according to the listing type and the website's available features. Automatic approval, a specific approval time, or a guaranteed manual verification process should not be assumed.

10 Listing Approval Does Not Mean Verification or Endorsement

Publication in the directory does not necessarily mean CEVEW has independently verified every claim, inspected the business, certified its products, or endorsed its services. Where CEVEW performs specific checks, only the checks actually carried out should be assumed.

A general "verified" claim should not be inferred unless a clearly defined verification process exists and has been completed. Visitors should independently assess a business before purchasing products, entering contracts, sharing sensitive information, or making important commercial decisions.

Directory inclusion is not certification. A listing does not automatically mean that a business has been endorsed, accredited, or independently inspected.

11 Editing and Updating a Listing

Business representatives should request corrections when listing information becomes inaccurate or outdated. CEVEW may require reasonable evidence or clarification before making significant changes, particularly where a change affects business identity, ownership, location, or contact details.

Changes may be reviewed before publication, and submitting an edit does not guarantee that it will be accepted. A business dashboard, self-service editing tool, or account feature should not be assumed to exist unless it is available on the website.

12 Rejected, Suspended, or Removed Listings

CEVEW may reject, restrict, suspend, unpublish, edit, or remove a listing when it:

  • Violates this policy or another applicable CEVEW policy
  • Contains materially false, misleading, or outdated information
  • Appears to impersonate another business
  • Creates an unresolved duplicate
  • Contains unlawful, harmful, or rights-infringing material
  • Is used for spam, fraud, abuse, or manipulation
  • Cannot meet reasonable information requirements
  • Must be restricted or removed for legal, safety, or operational reasons

Where appropriate and practical, CEVEW may request clarification or provide an explanation. However, notice or an opportunity to appeal should not be assumed in every situation, particularly where immediate action is necessary.

13 Listing Ownership and Authorization

The person submitting a listing is responsible for ensuring they are authorized to provide the information and materials. A submitter must not falsely claim to own, manage, represent, or be affiliated with a business.

If a legitimate business representative disputes a listing or requests control over it, CEVEW may ask for reasonable information to assess the request. Ownership disputes are not guaranteed to be resolved by CEVEW, and CEVEW may not be able to determine legal ownership in every case.

14 Privacy and Public Business Information

Information submitted for public display may be visible to website visitors and may be indexed, cached, or referenced by external search engines and other services. Submitters should not publish private personal details, confidential information, or information about another person without appropriate authority.

Refer to the CEVEW Privacy Policy for details about the handling of personal information. Removing a listing should not be assumed to immediately remove every copy from search engines, archives, caches, or third-party websites.

15 Reporting Incorrect or Misleading Listings

Visitors and business representatives are encouraged to report listings that appear inaccurate, duplicated, fraudulent, impersonated, outdated, or otherwise non-compliant. Reports should identify the listing and describe the concern clearly. CEVEW may request supporting information where appropriate.

A report does not automatically establish that a listing violates policy, and CEVEW may review the available information before taking action. The official contact email is contact@cevew.com.

16 No Guarantee of Traffic or Business Results

CEVEW does not guarantee that a listing will generate inquiries, sales, leads, partnerships, search engine rankings, or other commercial outcomes. Listing visibility and discovery may depend on website functionality, information quality, user interest, search engine behavior, and other factors outside CEVEW's control.

A particular position, number of visitors, or level of exposure should not be assumed.

17 Relationship With Other CEVEW Policies

This policy should be read together with the CEVEW Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Content Removal Policy, where those pages are available.

If a specific legal requirement or another applicable policy addresses an issue differently, the relevant terms and applicable law may govern the situation.

18 Changes to This Policy

CEVEW may update this policy as its directory features, listing requirements, operational practices, or legal obligations change. The current version published on this page is the version visitors should consult.

No effective date, last-updated date, review date, or scheduled revision date should be assumed. Any material change requiring notice or consent under applicable law will follow the appropriate process.
